Our 9 Step Strategic Approach and Process
At CQ Search Group Ltd. we approach every assignment with the same commitment and dedication. Each project is assigned to a lead recruiter who will liaise with the client at every step of the way.
1. Conducting the Needs Assessment
Working in partnership with our clients, we analyze your needs to determine the required skills, gain an understanding of organizational relationships, and establish relevant parameters such as education, experience and other characteristics necessary for a successful fit.
2. Establishing the Position Parameters
After carefully assessing your needs, we prepare a written position specification that outlines the responsibilities of the position, qualifications required of the ideal candidate, and criteria for success. This specification guides our search efforts.
3. Research
The specification is promptly shared with other CQ Search Group consultants with relevant industry and functional expertise to pinpoint sources and prospects. Simultaneously, our research team accesses our database of individuals, corporations and other sources.
4. Identifying Candidates
Our professional staff members make selective calls to sources and prospects to identify and interest qualified individuals. During this period, the consultant reports progress frequently to the client.
5. Interviews and Evaluations
Likely prospects are interviewed by the consultant who evaluates each on the basis of experience and potential cultural fit with the client organization.
6. Presenting Prospective Candidates
Confidential written reports are typically submitted on four or five individuals who most closely fit the position specification.
7. Facilitating Interviews
The consultant schedules a mutually convenient meeting between the client and each candidate, makes travel arrangements, and handles reimbursement of travel ex-penses. After each interview, the consultant contacts both the client and the candidates for feedback.
8. Referencing the Successful Candidate
Once the client selects the final candidate, the consultant contacts individuals who are capable of providing insights about the candidate’s qualifications. The collective comments made by these references are then reviewed with the client.
9. Completing the Search
As the search comes to a close, the consultant will assist in the structuring of the compensation package. We also contact all those who have been helpful in the search, thanking them on behalf of the client
